ARES 1 Fighting logo

ARES 1 took place in Dakar, 14th of December 2020. Fighters from all around the world came to face each other on the esplanade of the Museum of Black Civilizations in front of over 5 000 people.

Young African talents were revealed, such as the Senegalese wrestler Reug Reug who made his MMA debut and won against experienced fighter Sofiane Boukichou, winning his bout by TKO in the 2nd round.

Other renowned fighters also snatched victories such as Laurynas Urbonavicius, Gregory Babene, Nassourdine Imavov, the Lapilus brothers and the American Josh Parisian.

The evening ended in music with a live performance by Senegalese pop star Wally Seck.
